The Japanese Petty utility knives are a perfect cross between a paring knife and a fillet knife, if you look at the shape of their blade. A blade that is, indeed, thin and tapered, rarely measuring more than 15cm in length. Thanks to its mid-sized profile, it's very easy to handle and can therefore be used for many different tasks.
So it lets you, among other things, slice cold cuts, mince vegetables, peel fruit, fillet your fish or bone a small bird. While it's perfect for use as a steak knife at the table, it isn't designed to tackle large cuts of meat.
At Wusaki, we offer you a wide choice of Petty utility knives featuring designs and materials that are each as varied and high-quality as the next. You could turn to a Wusaki Nakata BS2 model with its exceptional Japanese Blue Steel n°2, or be won over by a Wusaki Ebony VG10 with its octagonal ebony handle and sublime finishes.
