In Japan, there are around fifty knife models designed for very specific tasks. The terms "Pan" and "Kiri" mean "bread" and "cut" respectively. So the Japanese bread knife "Pankiri" is renowned worldwide for its outstanding cutting ability. It has a serrated blade that easily cuts through the hard, sometimes thick crust of baguettes, flutes and country loaves into clean slices, without making crumbs.
At Wusaki, we offer a very varied range of Pankiri knives, both in terms of handles crafted from exquisite wood species and the high-end Japanese steels used to make the blade.
