Description
The knife designed to elevate your cutting
The Wusaki Sakin 20cm chef's knife combines cutting performance with remarkable good looks. Its Damascus blade and gold-leaf handle create a striking contrast that stands out in any kitchen. Its 20cm blade makes light work of vegetables, herbs, boneless meats and fish.
A high-performance Damascus blade for precise cuts
The 20cm blade offers excellent versatility for everyday cutting. Its 10Cr15CoMoV stainless steel core ensures a long-lasting edge and good resistance to corrosion. With a hardness of around 60 HRC, it holds its edge well while remaining easy to sharpen. Its 67-layer Damascus structure reinforces the blade and brings beautiful wavy patterns. Its flat grind allows a straight, precise, ambidextrous cut.
A spectacular handle blending carbon fiber and gold leaf
The resin handle blends carbon fiber and gold-leaf flakes. This composition gives it a unique design, inspired by the name Sakin, meaning "gold dust". The resin provides good stability, resistance to moisture and a pleasant feel in the hand. The stainless steel rivets and the brass mosaic rivet ensure a solid fit. The stainless steel bolster and base improve balance for a stable grip.
Wusaki expertise in your kitchen
Wusaki knives are made by a small workshop located north of Canton, in China's Guangdong province. This region has a long tradition in the making of knives and cutting tools. Production relies on well-controlled methods and a careful selection of materials.
Wusaki's expertise is governed by French manufacturing standards designed for professionals in the trade. This approach makes it possible to offer knives that are reliable, well assembled and suited to regular use. Every model aims for the right balance between cutting performance, comfort and durability.
To keep your Wusaki kitchen knife in top condition, hand-wash it only, using a soft sponge and a neutral soap. Dry the blade carefully once you're done, to avoid any lingering moisture.

Care & sharpening
Care & sharpening
Use
- Cut with a straight, linear motion. Twisting motions damage the cutting edge and can break the blade.
- Use a wooden cutting board. Glass or marble dull the cutting edge over time.
Cleaning
- Wash by hand with a soft sponge and mild soap, then rinse with lukewarm water. Abrasive surfaces are not suitable for the steel.
- Oil the blade from time to time with a neutral mineral oil to protect it.
Sharpening
- Don't wait until the blade is completely dull: regular maintenance on a 1000-grit whetstone keeps an excellent cutting edge without removing too much material.
- Match the whetstone's grit to the condition of the blade — coarse grit to restore a very dull edge, fine grit to polish.
