Description
Description
An efficient bread knife for clean slices
The Wusaki Sakin 20cm bread knife simplifies cutting bread, brioche, pastries and firm-crust preparations. Its long serrated blade lets you slice without crushing the crumb, even on the most generous loaves. Its 20cm size offers a good cutting range and stays pleasant to handle every day. Its case protects the knife and makes storage easy.
A serrated blade with highly interesting materials
The 20cm blade ensures an even cut. Its 10Cr15CoMoV stainless steel offers a clean cut, and its 60 HRC hardness guarantees good edge retention. The Damascus structure has 67 layers of steel: it reinforces the blade and creates beautiful patterns. Its serration lets you tackle hard crusts efficiently, while preserving softer textures.
A comfortable, distinctive handle
The handle blends resin, carbon and gold leaf: the name Sakin actually means "gold dust". Every handle has a unique look, since the gold leaf is randomly placed. The resin resists moisture well and the carbon fibers reinforce the structure. The stainless steel and mosaic rivets ensure a reliable fit, while adding even more visual originality. The bolster and base are made of stainless steel.
Wusaki's expertise and care tips
Wusaki knives are produced by a small workshop, located north of Canton, in China's Guangdong province. This region has a long tradition in the making of knives and cutting tools. Production relies on well-controlled methods and a careful selection of materials.
Wusaki's expertise is governed by French manufacturing standards designed for professionals in the trade. This approach makes it possible to offer knives that are reliable, well assembled and suited to regular use. Every model aims for the right balance between cutting performance, comfort and durability.
To keep your Wusaki kitchen knife in top condition, hand-wash it only, using a soft sponge and a neutral soap. Dry the blade carefully once you're done, to avoid any lingering moisture.

Care & sharpening
Care & sharpening
Use
- Cut with a straight, linear motion. Twisting motions damage the cutting edge and can break the blade.
- Use a wooden cutting board. Glass or marble dull the cutting edge over time.
Cleaning
- Wash by hand with a soft sponge and mild soap, then rinse with lukewarm water. Abrasive surfaces are not suitable for the steel.
- Oil the blade from time to time with a neutral mineral oil to protect it.
Sharpening
- Don't wait until the blade is completely dull: regular maintenance on a 1000-grit whetstone keeps an excellent cutting edge without removing too much material.
- Match the whetstone's grit to the condition of the blade — coarse grit to restore a very dull edge, fine grit to polish.
