Description
A Wusaki Sakin set to handle all your cutting needs
This set of 2 Wusaki Sakin knives brings together two kitchen essentials: a 20cm chef's knife and a 9cm paring knife. Together, they cover everything from big preparations to the most delicate touches. The chef's knife handles slicing, mincing and chopping vegetables, herbs, boneless meat or fish. The more compact paring knife takes over for peeling, trimming, detailing or making small, precise cuts. With their damascus blades and handles decorated with gold flecks, these two kitchen knives show off a bold, elegant style that's instantly recognizable. A duo that's as pleasant to use as it is to admire on the countertop.
Two damascus blades for precise work
The 20cm chef's knife offers a generous cutting length for everyday preparations. It efficiently cuts vegetables, boneless cuts of meat, fish and aromatic herbs. Its versatile shape makes it the go-to knife to keep close at hand for comfortable cooking. The 9cm paring knife perfectly rounds out the set. Its short, agile blade is ideal for precise moves: peeling fruit, trimming blemishes off a vegetable, mincing small ingredients or making finishing cuts.
The blades are built around a core of 10Cr15CoMoV stainless steel, valued for its good edge retention and resistance to corrosion. Their hardness of around 60 HRC helps keep an effective edge over time. The 67-layer damascus construction brings both visual character and a fine structure to the blade.
A precious-looking handle, between carbon and golden flecks
The resin handles combine carbon fiber and fragments of gold leaf to create a unique look. This blend gives the Sakin range its visual identity: a deep, contrasted and luminous effect, inspired by its name, which evokes "gold dust".
Beyond the aesthetics, the resin offers good stability against moisture and a comfortable grip. The stainless steel rivets ensure a sturdy assembly, while the brass mosaic rivet adds a refined finish.
The bolster and the butt, both in stainless steel, contribute to the overall balance of the knives, for a stable, pleasant feel during use.
Wusaki's know-how, made for everyday life
Wusaki knives are made by a small workshop located north of Canton, in China's Guangdong province. This region has a long tradition in crafting knives and cutting tools. Production relies on well-mastered methods and a rigorous selection of materials.
Wusaki's expertise is guided by French manufacturing standards designed for professionals in the industry. This approach makes it possible to offer reliable, well-assembled knives suited to regular use. Each model aims for the right balance between cutting performance, comfort and durability.
To preserve the quality of your Wusaki kitchen knives, always favor hand-washing with a soft sponge and a mild soap. Dry the blades carefully after each cleaning to avoid moisture marks and keep their good looks for longer.

Quality and style with every cut
Care & sharpening
Care & sharpening
Use
- Cut with a straight, linear motion. Twisting motions damage the cutting edge and can break the blade.
- Use a wooden cutting board. Glass or marble dull the cutting edge over time.
Cleaning
- Wash by hand with a soft sponge and mild soap, then rinse with lukewarm water. Abrasive surfaces are not suitable for the steel.
- Oil the blade from time to time with a neutral mineral oil to protect it.
Sharpening
- Don't wait until the blade is completely dull: regular maintenance on a 1000-grit whetstone keeps an excellent cutting edge without removing too much material.
- Match the whetstone's grit to the condition of the blade — coarse grit to restore a very dull edge, fine grit to polish.
