Double-Sided Walnut Cutting Board 40x30cm
Description
Description
A wood built for the kitchen
The Wusaki cutting board is made from walnut wood. This is a resistant type of wood, little affected by moisture. With its attractive density, it's also more resistant to knocks and warping.
Perfect for catching the juices
The front side has a gutter running around the usable surface. It lets you catch the juices from whatever you're cutting. That way you can save them to make a sauce, and it also stops them spilling onto your worktop, keeping your space clean and practical. The back of the board is flat, so you can use it for cutting food too.
A pleasure to use
At 40x30x1.9cm, it suits plenty of foods, such as medium-sized fruit and vegetables. You can also use it to slice meat, different types of bread...Being narrow, it's easy to store away. Its rounded edges make it pleasant to the touch, and the laser-engraved logo gives the product a perfect finish.
How to care for it
Once you've finished cutting, rinse the board under lukewarm water (without soaking it in your sink), using a sponge and a mild detergent. Wipe it with a cloth and let it dry until there's no trace of moisture left.
The board is oiled to protect it well during transport. It should therefore be washed before using it for the first time.

A real kitchen asset.
Care & sharpening
Care & sharpening
Use
- Cut with a straight, linear motion. Twisting motions damage the cutting edge and can break the blade.
- Use a wooden cutting board. Glass or marble dull the cutting edge over time.
Cleaning
- Wash by hand with a soft sponge and mild soap, then rinse with lukewarm water. Abrasive surfaces are not suitable for the steel.
- Oil the blade from time to time with a neutral mineral oil to protect it.
Sharpening
- Don't wait until the blade is completely dull: regular maintenance on a 1000-grit whetstone keeps an excellent cutting edge without removing too much material.
- Match the whetstone's grit to the condition of the blade — coarse grit to restore a very dull edge, fine grit to polish.
