Double-Sided Heat-Treated Beech Cutting Board 40x30cm
Description
Description
Heat-treated beech wood
The Wusaki cutting board is made from beech wood. This particular wood is light-toned and known for being durable and sturdy. It's also better equipped to resist cracking and moisture. The darker sections are made from heat-treated beech wood, which makes it even more resistant! And it creates a beautiful color contrast. The wood is FSC-certified (for sustainable forest management).
Perfect for catching the juices
The front side has a gutter running all the way around the usable surface. It lets you catch the juices from the meat you're cutting. That way you can save them to make a sauce, and it also stops them spilling onto your worktop, keeping your space clean and practical. The back of the board is flat, so you can use it for cutting food too.
A pleasure to use
At 40x30x1.9cm, it's well suited to cutting fruit and vegetables of any size. You can also use it to slice meat, different types of bread...Being narrow, it's easy to store away. Its rounded edges make it pleasant to the touch, and the laser-engraved logo gives the product a perfect finish.
How to care for it
Rinse it under lukewarm water (without soaking it too much), using a sponge and a mild detergent. Wipe it with a cloth and let it dry until there's no trace of moisture left.
The board is delivered oiled to protect it well during transport. It should therefore be washed before using it for the first time.

The cook's essential accessory.
Care & sharpening
Care & sharpening
Use
- Cut with a straight, linear motion. Twisting motions damage the cutting edge and can break the blade.
- Use a wooden cutting board. Glass or marble dull the cutting edge over time.
Cleaning
- Wash by hand with a soft sponge and mild soap, then rinse with lukewarm water. Abrasive surfaces are not suitable for the steel.
- Oil the blade from time to time with a neutral mineral oil to protect it.
Sharpening
- Don't wait until the blade is completely dull: regular maintenance on a 1000-grit whetstone keeps an excellent cutting edge without removing too much material.
- Match the whetstone's grit to the condition of the blade — coarse grit to restore a very dull edge, fine grit to polish.
