Double-Sided Beech Cutting Board 40x30cm
Description
Description
Beech wood for everyday use
Wusaki's cutting board is crafted from beech wood, a species with fairly light tones known for being durable and sturdy. It's also tougher against cracking and moisture. The wood used to make these boards comes from FSC-certified Slovenian forests, so it's born from a genuine commitment to sustainable forest management.
Perfect for catching the juices
The front side has a gutter running all the way around the usable surface. It lets you catch the juices from the meat you're cutting. That way you can save them to make a sauce, and it also stops them spilling onto your worktop, keeping your space clean and practical. The back of the board is flat, so you can use it for cutting food too.
A pleasure to use every time
At 40x30x1.9cm, it's well suited to cutting fruit and vegetables of any size. You can also use it to slice cooked meats, bread and brioche...Its slim profile makes it easy to store standing up on a worktop or in a tight cupboard.
Its rounded edges make it pleasant to the touch, and the laser-engraved logo gives the product a perfect finish.
How to care for it
Rinse it under lukewarm water (without soaking it), using a sponge and a mild detergent. Wipe it quickly and let it dry until there's no trace of moisture left.
The board is oiled to protect it well during transport. It should therefore be washed before the first use.

Care & sharpening
Care & sharpening
Use
- Cut with a straight, linear motion. Twisting motions damage the cutting edge and can break the blade.
- Use a wooden cutting board. Glass or marble dull the cutting edge over time.
Cleaning
- Wash by hand with a soft sponge and mild soap, then rinse with lukewarm water. Abrasive surfaces are not suitable for the steel.
- Oil the blade from time to time with a neutral mineral oil to protect it.
Sharpening
- Don't wait until the blade is completely dull: regular maintenance on a 1000-grit whetstone keeps an excellent cutting edge without removing too much material.
- Match the whetstone's grit to the condition of the blade — coarse grit to restore a very dull edge, fine grit to polish.
