The chef knife 20cm and the paring knife 9cm from the Wusaki Damas VG10 series are as beautiful as they are efficient. These knives have all the qualities that you can expect to find in a good kitchen knife: ergonomic, durable, and impressive design. Thanks to their originality and elegance, the dazzling look of these knife guarantees love at first sight.
Both knives have blades with a Japanese VG10 steel core that was polished by hand until it gets a razor sharp edge. The blades of these knives remain sharp 2 to 3 times longer than knives made with European steel. Each knife from this series undergoes V-shaped sharpening done by hand with the use of a grinding band of leather so that you can make perfect cuts since the very first time!
The steel used in all Damas Olive knives has a hardness level of 60 HRC and a VG10 steel core with 1% carbon content. This Japanese steel of high quality is much harder than the one that is found in most of the premium Western knives. We've chosen this type of steel thanks to its excellent characteristics and its remarkable durability.
The blades of the Damas VG10 chef and paring knives have 67 layers of damask steel (unique on each knife) as well as an original, hammered surface on the top part of the blade.
Matching perfectly with the beauty of the blade, the handle is made of noble olive wood. It is characterised for its astonishing design and comfortable grip.
Finally, the Japanese character engraved at the bottom of the handle provides that final touch that makes your knife truly stylish.
Wusaki knives are made in a small factory located in the north of Canton; the capital city of the Guangdong province in Western China. This province is historically known for its know-how in the production of steel knives. The good relations between France and China allowed us to find a serious partner with a human-size structure like ours. The expertise of Wusaki is entirely governed by the French manufacturing standards established by the professionals in the field. We are proud to have succeeded in the creation of a reliable work tool with a superb design and at a great price for our customers.
Wash by hand and dry with a soft cloth. Avoid to wet the handle as much as possible, even when washing the knife. Once in a while, you can wipe the handle with a cloth slightly soaked in olive oil to protect the wood.
