The Wusaki Fujiko VG10 carving knife is both beautiful and highly effective at the same time. Among its several qualities we can mention its great cutting performance, its ergonomic design, and its durability. Its gorgeous look immediately catches your eyes' attention thanks to its originality, elegance, and excellent finishes.

Long-lasting sharpness

Every Wusaki Fujiko knife has a blade with a core made of VG10 steel. This is a renowned Japanese steel that allows the blade to remain sharp 2 to 3 times longer than a standard European knife. Thanks to its 1% of carbon content, the blade of this knife is harder than most blades of Western kitchen knives. Furthermore, its V-shaped edge was manually sharpened on a leather band, and thus you'll be able to witness its impressive cutting performance right out of the box!

Elegant and practical handle

Every Fujiko knife has a handle made of olive wood. This type of wood with light shades is characterised for its pleasant smell and sturdiness. As it is a completely natural material, the veinings are unique on each single handle. In addition, the straight shape of the handle enables a comfortable grip, and thanks to the smooth surface of the bolster, you can hold the knife closer to the blade, which lets you have better control over your food cuts.

A piece of art in your kitchen

The VG10 steel core is covered by 67 layers of damascus steel that create unique patterns on the blade's surface.
A beautiful contrast between the damascus blade and the wooden handle gives the knife an absolutely stunning look.
Finally, the Japanese kanji engraved on the steel bottom of the handle adds that last touch of originality to this very special knife.

We advise to wash this knife only by hand. It should then be immediately dried with a soft cloth. Avoid wetting too much its handle, even when you're washing the knife. You can apply some olive oil on the handle, from time to time, to protect the wood.
