The Wusaki Fujiko VG10 utility knife is the result of a perfect match between a stunning design and a remarkable cutting performance. Indeed, this knife offers numerous qualities such a great cutting performance, an ergonomic design, and a long lifespan. Its beautiful look immediately captures your eyes' attention thanks to its originality, elegance, and elegant finishes.
Same as every Wusaki Fujiko knife, the blade of this knife has a Japanese VG10 steel core. This type of steel allows the blade to keep its sharpness 2 to 3 times longer than a standard European knife. This is possible thanks to its 1% of carbon content, which enables the blade to be harder than most blades of Western kitchen knives. Moreover, its V-shaped edge was manually sharpened on a leather band. You'll be amazed by its sharpness since the very first cut!
The handle of this and all Fujiko kitchen knives is made of olive wood. This type of wood with a light colour is characterised for its robustness and its fruity smell. As it is a completely natural material, the veinings are different on each single handle. Furthermore, the straight shape of the handle enables a comfortable grip, and its bolster with a smooth surface lets you hold the knife closer to the blade, which in turn lets you have better control over each of your food cuts.
The unique patterns on the blade's surface are the result of 67 layers of damascus steel covering the VG10 steel core.
Thanks to the beautiful contrast between the damascus blade and the olive wood handle, the overall look of the knife is simply stunning.
Finally, the Japanese kanji engraved on the steel bottom of the handle is the final touch of originality that makes this knife truly one of a kind.
All Wusaki knives are manufactured in a small factory located in the north of the city of Canton, in the Guangdong province, in Western China. This province is well known for its vast history and know-how in the manufacturing of steel knives. The good relationships between China and France allowed us to find a trustworthy partner with a family-sized business like ours. The manufacturing procedures used for Wusaki knives comply with the French quality standards established by the professionals of this industry. We are proud to have succeeded in our goal of offering our customers a reliable work tool with a remarkable finish and at a fair price.
We recommend you to wash this knife only by hand and immediately dry it with a soft cloth. Never wet too much its handle, even when you're washing the knife. To protect the wood of the handle, you can apply some olive oil on its surface from time to time.
