Each blade has a core made of Japanese VG10 steel, which has a hardness of 60 HRC in the Rockwell, Such high hardness is in great part thanks to the steel's 1% of carbon content, which also enables the blade to remain sharp 2 to 3 times longer than blades made with European steels. The blades of the Wusaki Ebony VG10 knives are sharpened manually on a leather band to give it a V-shaped razor edge that excels since the very first cut. We chose this Japanese steel because of its durability and excellent quality that is appreciated by cooks all around the world.
Robust and comfortable, the handles of these kitchen knives are made of ebony wood, which is sanded to give it a smooth surface that feels good in the hand. The veinings on the surface are unique to each knife, thus no two handles are the same. Furthermore, the octagonal shape of the handles is suitable to all types of hands regardless of whether you hold it with your right or left hand.
The blade of each knife in this set has 67 layers of damascus steel around the VG10 steel core. These steel layers create original pattersn on the blade's surface, and they also enhance the blade's hardness whilst simultaneously giving it a bit of flexibility to make it less fragile. Moreover, the wood of the handles beautifully contrasts the steel of the blades, and their beautiful veinings, octagonal design, and decorative red bands complete the dazzling look of these knives.

The knives must be washed by hand and dried immediately with a soft cloth. The handle must be kept dry at all times, because wood does not react well with humidity.
It is a solid, lightweight, and durable bag made of black polyester.
The roll bag has 9 individual slots in which you can insert the handles of your knives and accessories. Each slot is 13cm long, and it is closed with a small elastic band that settles itself around the handle to prevent the knife from slipping out. For knives with longer blades, a hook-and-loop fastener can be used to block the blades in their places.
Last but not least, the polyester flap inside the bag provides maximum protection to your knives' blades. Another advantage of this flap is that on its structure you can find 2 additional pockets that can be used for storing other types of accessories such as phone chargers, small notebooks, or even aprons. To close the bag, all you need to do is to roll it in.
